Horst Tappe exclusively photographed portraits from 1960 until his death in 2005. His most important portraits were probably those of celebrities like the painters Picasso, Dali, Kokoschka or artists such as Peter Ustinov, Sophia Loren, writers such as Nabokov, Fleming and many many more.
