This book accompanies the new permanent exhibition of the Museum of Italian Design in which a selection of the most iconic and representative pieces of Italian design are displayed, part of the 1,600 objects in the Triennale Collection. The publication aims to give maximum prominence to the works, organised in chronological order, and provides in-depth information on the history, poetics and context in which the work was designed. Since 1923 Triennale Milano has been one of the most important cultural institutions on an international level, capable of conveying the complexity of the contemporary through a plurality of languages: design, architecture, visual, scenic and performing arts.
