Dutch Design as a brand name seems to be more widely know than Belgian Design. But is this really deserved ? The compilers of this unique book don’t think so. Dutch products, from expensive luxury objects to arts and crafts, and from innovative design to everyday mass-produced items, created over a period of two centuries, are compared with similar products from Belgium. Sixteen specialists from the two neighbouring countries analyze the background to this output in both countries. It is up to the reader to decide who wins the Design Derby.
