Disegno #39

Note from the editor:

Quarterly Disegno is devoted to exploring the many facets of design and its impact on the world today. After a few issues of their more recently launched supplementary publication Design Reviewed, the core magazine returns to our shelves with issue #39—a compilation of ‘short stories about survival and design.’ Inside, editor Oli Stratford kicks things off with a tribute to the courage of the sea cucumber, followed by features on a market in Altiplano, architecture for cows in India, kaleidoscopic pâte de verre windows, colonial chairs, Accra’s abandoned buildings, and a non-hierarchical team sport designed by Gabriel Fontana.
